Fiafia Performance Day

 
 

We've been learning about Samoa and performed cultural songs and dances at the school's fiafia. We had so much fun practising and it was exciting to perform infront of the school and parents.

Bike and Scooter Safety Day

We were able to bring our bikes and scooters to school for the day for the first time. We learnt about how to make our bikes and scooters safe to ride and wear our helmets properly. It was so exciting to have Claudia talk to us.

 

Maths - Reflection

We have been learning about lines of symmetry. 

We made splodge pictures to create a reflection.

Our class had a really fun day doing different field activities and having running races. 

                      

 

 

Hip Hop Dancing!

 

We are learning to hip hop! We love going to lessons and moving to the music.

Our Movie at Hoyts Cinema

 Room 3 and Room 5 made a movie about their body and senses. We went to Hoyts cinema to watch it.

The Zoo - we loved the animals!!

 

We went to the zoo for the day! All the animals came out and we loved seeing them. Our class learnt about different animals, where they live, their bodies and their senses.

 

 

 

                   

 

  

Our Inquiry - Bodies and Senses

 

We have been learning about our body and its senses. We also learnt about some animals and their senses too, then we did pictures and wrote stories about them.

Seatbelt and Road Safety

 

We learnt about road and seatbelt safety with Constable T. She took us for a ride in her police car and we got to try on police clothes. It was so exciting!

 

Look - we can skip!

 

                                                           

 We have been learning how to skip. We have practiced in fitness and had a skip off! Now we can do the long rope and do doubles.

Kiwican!!

We love Kiwican! Every lesson we have good learning discussions and play some fun games to help with understanding our learning.

 

Te Reo Maori Language Week

We have been reading stories in maori and english and made maori headbands to wear to assembly. In assembly we sung in maori and saw the Kapa Haka group perform.

 

The Stepping Out Programme

  

Our class met our school Constable and did the Stepping Out Programme. We enjoyed learning about road safety and crossing the road using pedestrian crossings and by stop, looking and listening.
